Aimed at fulfilling all your needs for a trip to the city - named European Capital of Culture for 2008 - the website covers everything from accommodation to attractions. The colourful website includes sections on Eating Out and Nightlife, Shopping, Sport, Music and The Beatles and Maritime. MERVIN (Merseyside Visitor Information Network), an animated digital helper, acts as your guide for your visit to the site and points you in the right direction - providing quick access to the help and FAQ’s section. You can search for accommodation, with each hotel accompanied by a map, facilities and directions. However, the only downfall to this site is that online bookings can’t be made just yet – although there is a free telephone search and booking service until this system is up and running.
Verdict
From Penny Lane to Anfield, with a detour via Ascot, you can take a magical mystery tour of Merseyside at this slick new website.
