What we liked:
This popular site has a huge audience and so it's perfect for making a tasty chunk of cash from your creative talent. The front page is pitched heavily towards selling prints by established artists, but delve a little deeper and you'll find a thriving community of amateurs, all turning a profit by selling posters of their work.

Anyone who fancies themselves as a bit of a Picasso can join in. The site handles the printing and delivery side of things, so all you need do is upload a hi-res version of your latest masterpiece. That can then be bought from the site as a poster. For every one that sells, you cash in 10 per cent of the proceeds. You can also sell the original, should you wish. If you do that, you keep all the money from that sale.

Setting up shop is dead simple and entirely free. You can load up to 16 pieces to the site and there is the option to add more if you upgrade to a paid subscription. The community area has been impressively revamped recently, making the gallery section even easier to use, with a bundle of extra features added to help make your work stand out.

How could it be improved:
Displaying your art here instantly puts you up against some intense competition. There are more than 300,000 prints for buyers to choose from, most by legendary names such as Warhol, Monet and Dali. We'd like to see more exposure for up-and-coming talent so it's a little easier for amateur work to get noticed.
