The site now looks like a personalised start page, combining a range of web tools and content in a tidy, at-a-glance format. The most notable addition is the customisable My Favourites column, which offers instant access to webmail, eBay, BBC News and other popular sites, as well as all Yahoo services. News headlines now come from numerous sources, including Guardian.co.uk and Mail Online, and Yahoo’s most popular search terms are displayed in the top-right corner. The revamped layout might take a little getting used to, but overall it looks less cluttered and is more user-friendly than before.
