Popular travel community WAYN (Where Are You Now) has been redesigned to place more emphasis on lifestyle elements.
Its cluttered old design has been ditched in favour of a more spacious and streamlined layout, which makes browsing the site a much less overwhelming experience. Most notably, there’s an increased emphasis on lifestyle and social-networking elements in the vein of Facebook and Twitter. You can view and reply to users’ status updates; share your travel and leisure plans and tips; and post photos, videos and blog entries. WAYN remains free to use and, with 15 million members worldwide, is now an even better place to connect with like-minded people.

I joined wayn in 2005 and left the site this year, 2009. It has become boring and lacklustre The reason being with the many changes, trying to make it like facebook and the changes imposed many long term errors on the site. I found the site to be a complete waste of time and did not really offer any useful travel information. In terms of it being a social networking site, it is very poor. The site allows infiltation of fake and non genuine users. In regards to customer service, it is very poor and there seems to always be a lack of comprehension with automated response emails with help questions. The owners of the site favour certain members ...who get free reign and are allowed to criticise and make fun of members..there is a lack of moderation and respect for its members from the owners... In all honesty it is a very immature site and points are given for photos??? Finally, it is a boring site, don't even bother. Facebook wins
