Google's homepage is far less cluttered than that of most search engines, and this is frankly a godsend if all you want to do is search for something. There is a web directory too, but it's not to be found on the homepage. Other than the search engine and web directory there's little else to see on Google, but that doesn't detract from what is one of the most efficient and relevant search engines on the web.
