While most of the ISPs offer a fairly comprehensive selection of discussion forums, Tiscali goes that one step further by adding one vital ingredient - humour. There are the usual discussion groups (music, news, sport, travel and so on) but lighting up the main forum page is a delicious shortlist of currently popular rooms and none are to be taken too seriously.
When we visited the best of the bunch included 'Justify Your Existence' - or what you have done that will save your butt on reckoning day (most members, it appears, are doomed), 'When Not To Help' (ever helped someone and wished you hadn't?), 'Annoying advertisements' and a literary room entitled, 'Halfway through a book'. Sadly, however, this refreshing humour does not extend to the oddly placed forums calendar which, thrill of thrills, lists members' birthdays (and yes, there are hundreds of them).
