225 BNW Freegle

Get rid of your rubbish and make new friends at this recycling community.

Freegle has been set up by former members of the Freecycle Network who didn't like certain changes made to that service. The site aptly recycles the concept, providing an easy way to offload stuff you don't want to someone who does, thus saving it from landfill and doing your bit for the environment. As with Freecycle, items are listed on local mailing lists hosted by Yahoo Groups - there are currently 205 of these, with more than 920,000 members in the UK. There isn't much to see or do on the actual Freegle website, but it's a useful and worthy enterprise.
