With repossessions up by 23 per cent in the last 12 months, this mortgage-advice website has been launched by the Government to help people hang onto their homes. It's not as dry as the usual Directgov resources, presenting information in a clear and engaging manner. From the homepage, you can choose an option relating to your financial situation, for example "I have missed my mortgage payments," to get a step-by-step action plan. Mortgage Help also provides links to relevant sites such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and real-life stories from people who have managed to save their homes.
