Microsoft has launched this TV-on-demand service to complement rather than compete with the likes of BBC iPlayer and 4oD.
Most of the content offered by MSN Video Player is sourced from the Beeb and Channel 4 including such classic programmes as Elizabeth I, The Young Ones and Around the World in 80 Days as well as recent shows such as Mock the Week, How to Look Good Naked and Derren Brown: Trick of the Mind. Everything is free to watch and, while the picture quality isn’t brilliant, the videos stream smoothly enough once you get past the obligatory ads. A tidy interface and clear categories like Comedy, Documentary and Sci-Fi make shows easy to find, while new and popular series are highlighted. We look forward to seeing even more content added soon.

Has some episodes of shows not currently available on the respective native catch-up site, such as Mock The Week and Hotel Babylon, so definitely a welcome addition to online TV.
However, all the videos I've viewed so far have been interlaced, which means considerable picture distortion during moments of fast movement on LCD screens (such as the opening sequence to Hotel Babylon).
