Ticketmaster

This long-running ticket company sells tickets for a broad range of events, from music and theatre to sport and family attractions.
What we liked: The thing that has us murmuring the most praise for Ticketmaster is the link on its homepage to Get Me In (www.getmein.com) the resale and exchange site.
This means that if tickets for an event are no longer available, there’s always the chance to pick them up from someone who’s reselling them, for a cheaper price than you’d pay on eBay. If you are able to buy a ticket first-hand, you can sometimes have your tickets emailed to you, cutting out those worries about postal deliveries. And, for £20, you can register as a Priority Member and get the opportunity to snap up tickets before the great unwashed do.
How it can be improved:
As good as the email ticket option is, you’ll still sometimes be charged from £2 for the privilege, which seems even cheekier than the standard service and delivery fees. While locating event categories is relatively easy, the site’s layout is very dull and there’s no pleasure in spending much time here. Ticketmaster is best visited when you know exactly want you want, rather than to browse for inspiration.
Our verdict:
Ticketmaster’s site is as sturdy and reliable as the service itself and that name still carries clout. Don’t expect any frills, though – a stroll through the site is about as exciting as watching an episode of Heartbeat in slow motion.
