Virtual Festivals

Review Date : Wed, 21 Nov 2007

Author : Veronique De Freitas

With summer but a soggy memory, you might be thinking that the festival season is already over.

Scrubbed-up festival portal Virtual Festivals knows better, revealing that there are plenty more to look forward to in the coming months, including the Swn Festival in Cardiff and Hard Rock Hell at Butlins Minehead. As well as offering festival news, reviews and ticket information, this splendid site has a new My Stage social-networking section, where you can share photos, videos and experiences. Additionally, you can now organise your festival travel online using the AA Route Planner, which highlights petrol stations, speed cameras and traffic black spots. Elsewhere, there are competitions to enter, a Desktop information service to download and much more. Just be careful not to get so engrossed that you miss your event.
