Discover how and where to watch the 2010 Oscars online in the UK

Want to know how to watch the 2010 Oscars live online? Well, you're not alone. Finding a place where you can watch legal streaming of the Oscars is one of the web's Holy Grails.

Unfortunately, there will be no legal live video coverage of the Academy Awards this Sunday online, although you will be able to watch Sky's Red Carpet Oscars show live on the web during the build-up to the event.

You can also watch trailers and clips from nominated movies on the official Oscars site.

But for extensive online coverage of the awards, which will be hosted by Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, you'll have to keep an eye on the Sky Player.

There's no specific date for when highlights will be available on-demand, but I'm told that from Tuesday next week (9 March) they might be online.

Of course, BBC News 24 and Sky News are both likely to have news bulletins from the 82nd Oscars.
