So Derren Brown has confirmed that he will try to predict the National Lottery numbers live on Wednesday night on Channel 4 (starts 10.35pm). As a long-term DB fan, that prospect has made me rather goose-pimply. It could simply be one of the most exciting TV events of the year. Or ever. Certainly one of the most intriguing.
Brown has been banned from buying a ticket this week, which is slightly comforting. Apparently he will be revealing how he did it - assuming he does - on Friday night, 9pm, Channel 4.
According to this Derren Brown blog, forthcoming stunts in The Events series will include "a subliminal piece of media that will stick you to your seats at home" and "a casino-related scam".
As the anticipation mounts, you can watch almost all of Derren's TV series (Trick of the Mind, Trick or Treat, Mind Control) and one-offs (The System, Messiah, The Heist) using Channel 4's on-demand 4oD service.
You can also watch a recording of his award-winning live show Something Wicked This Way Comes.
There's no sign of his infamous 2003 Russian Roulette show, though.

It's a fantastic trick, no question. He somehow managed to get the right balls in place in the short time between them being drawn and him revealing them. Did anyone else think the camera-work was suspiciously shaky after each ball appeared?
Don't forget - on Friday he reveals how the trick was performed.
