Ladies and gentlemen, we officially have a new contender for the worst football song ever recorded, a song so bad it makes Liverpool FC's Anfield Rap sound like a long-lost Beethoven symphony.
Rik Mayall, bless him, has recorded Noble England to cheer on Fabio Capello's men in South Africa later this year.
And while I admire his effort, the result is a boorish shout-athon that just sounds awful.
To be fair, this video, recorded in Brick Lane Studios, doesn't feature the entire song.
But boy, if what you can hear is the "catchy" chorus, we dread to think how terrible the rest of the song is.
Still, you have to admire Mayall's sweary enthusiasm for the project. But, if it stands a chance of being number one in June, I support Germany.
If it gets you excited about the festival of footie that awaits us, you should get a taste of top-class international football by watching the African Cup of Nations live online.

I love RIks anthem... Isnt a world cup song meant to be a shout-athon? I have heard the crowds singing "it's Coming Home" (Which it obviously didn't) on the terraces. Riks songs sounds just like that but with more supporting lyrics rather than assuming ones.
I hope RIks song gets a number 1 as it deservees it.

Have you not heard Chicos appauling attempt? How can you slag Riks off? At least Rik has written something new!
Noble England sounds promising. As longs as he doesnt make some silly attempt at being funny. Comedy and Football shouldnt be in the same sentance!
