The Big Kiss

Internet dating site Match.com is calling on 30,000 Glastonbury Festival revellers to help break the Guinness World Record for the world's biggest kiss.

At 1.30am on Sunday 24 June, festival goers will be asked to plant a smacker on the person next to them as part of the The Big Kiss record attempt.

Jason Stockwood from Match.com, said: “We’re expecting to trounce the current World Record of 6,400 couples, which was set in Hungary this year, by getting all 30,000 people to kiss the person next to them."

"It’s a big feat but we’re expecting festival goers to be high on the weekend’s proceedings and up for showing their love for life by kissing the person next to them."

Joss Stone says thanks

Soul singer Joss Stone has posted a rather large thank you note on her website to thank the artists who've inspired her.

The 19-year-old wanted to give credit to all the people who helped and inspired her on her latest album... and that she's done in a 7000-word document that covers 12 A4 pieces of paper.

Her third LP, Introducing Joss Stone, is out this week and directs people from the credits in her album sleeve as to her lengthy note. We're sure the people she mentioned, which include artists Lauryn Hill and Lemar, are very touched.

Britney's hair for sale

What a surprise - the owners of the California hair salon where Britney Shears shaved all her hair off at the  weekend have set up a website to sell the singer's locks.

Proving that people will try and make a buck out of anything, the salon is offering the hair, plus a lighter and Red Bull can that were also left in the salon by the shamed pop princess, for a minimum starting bid of one million dollars.

According to Buy Britney's Hair, the buyer is encouraged to do a local pick-up at Esther's Haircutting Salon in Tarzana, California and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to various charities.

There have been loads of eBay auctions purporting to offer Britney's tresses, but Buy Britney's Hair insists that "any hair for sale on eBay is a scam, pure and simple".
