BrewDog launches world's strongest beer - in a squirrel

Bottles of BrewDog's 55% End of History beer are sold inside a stuffed squirrel or a stoat.

In the mood for a Friday drink? How about a bottle of 55-per-cent ABV (alcohol by volume) beer that costs 500 and comes served inside a dead animal?

That's the concept behind The End of History from the Scottish brewery BrewDog, which is claimed to be the strongest and most expensive beer in the world.

Only 12 bottles of the beer have been made - seven offered inside a stuffed stoat for 500, four in a grey squirrel for 700 and a one in a hare (not for sale). Sadly, these have sold out already.

The blond, Belgian-style ale is "infused with nettles from the Scottish Highlands and fresh juniper berries." It is intended to be drunk in small servings while "exuding an endearing pseudo vigilance and reverence" for the host roadkill.

Bottles of The End of History have been described by BrewDog as "beautiful and disturbing - just like the beer. It's a blend of eccentricity, artistry and rebellion."
