Most celebrities put minimal effort into their official websites, offering little more than an advert for their project against a dull black background.
But Jim Carrey, the rubber-faced star of The Mask, The Truman Show and Bruce Almighty has launched a resoundly impressive online home - a surreal multimedia landscape of visual delights and bizarre sounds.
Click on the Biography link, for example, and a giant squid will whisk you to a pulsating eyeball where you can view a potted summary of Carrey's career within the pupil.
Clicking a bird with Jim's head takes you to the actor's Twitter account while a hot-air balloon guides you to watch a trailer for his latest film, A Christmas Carol.
The site's graphic-intense design means it can be slow to load and navigate but there's plenty here to explore and enjoy.
It's already been described by Entertainment Weekly as a "visually stunning treat" and by the Wall Street Journal as "bizarre, mind-bendy experience into the world of Jim Carrey".
Visit the official Jim Carrey website.
