It's 5 November, which can only mean one thing - Guy Fawkes, bonfires and fireworks! Okay, that's three things, but you get the gist!
To join the fun without braving the cold or risking a rocket land on your head, here are a few ideas for actvities to help you enjoy Bonfire Night online.
1. What is Bonfire Night? Watch this video created for an English-learning podcast series to learn more about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot.
2. Create an online firework display. Visit the Online Fireworks Desktop Fireworks page and keep clicking the black box to set off pretty fireworks in your browser.
3. Play safe firework games. From lighting a virtual sparkler to helping frightened pets make their way inside, there's plenty of fun to be had on the BIS Firework Safety page.
4. Make a Guy Fawkes mask. Even if you're not burning an effigy on a bonfire, you can learn how to make a Guy Fawkes mask using Origami at top how-to site Instructables.
5. Play the Guy Fawkes Dastardly Adventures game. Help Guy push the barrels of gunpowder into the blue squares to complete his dastardly plot to blow up Parliament!
