There are many uses for an old PC monitor – footstool,coffee table, PC monitor – but this is one of the odder ways to recycle thatnow nearly obsolete bit of kit.

Designed to dry out beef and produce a SouthAfrican delicacy called biltong (which looks as if it will taste like rubber,and, surprisingly, does).
