Attack of the Sprouts

If you were asked to name the thing that you hate most about Christmas, surely your answer would be Brussel Sprouts? Luckily you vent your anger at having to eat these green balls of hell every year by playing the wonderful game Attack of the Sprouts.

You must destroy the evil sprouts as they try and lay claim to your Christmas dinner, while singing along to a wonderful ditty about the uselessness of sprouts.

What you actually like sprouts? Are you mad? Well, as it's Christmas, here's a link to the a website selling "I love Brussel Sprouts" T-shirts.

Yorkshire Airlines

Looking for an airline for your next holiday but don't know who to fly with? Why not travel to your destination via Yorkshire Airlines? The company provides you with a jet with an outside toilet, plus the in-flight meal is fish and chips, with plenty of mushy peas.

You can fly Working Class or Alan Bennett Class but you will depart Leeds and land at Leeds 20 minutes later beacause...if's not inside Yorkshire, it's not "bloody worth visiting".

This classic video clip from Hale and Pace is genuinely how people fly up North - true Yorkshire hospitality!

Elf Yourself

Looking for Elf Yourself 2009?

At Elf Yourself, all you need to do is upload a picture of yourself, record a message and you're magically transformed into a green-velvet clad elf... well your photo gets superimposed on to a computer-generated elf, but it's the same thing surely?

PS: Remember that charity listing on eBay.co.uk we told you about earlier this week where you could bid for 10 tonnes of snow to be delivered to your home on Christmas Eve?  Well a buyer in Dudley snapped the white suff up for £1,550, which goes direct to ChildLine, a service for the NSPCC.

Best site of 2006?

A website that sells recycled paper made from sheep poo and a site showcasing dogs that are dressed up as bees are among the shortlist for Yahoo's best websites of 2006 awards.

The shortlist for Yahoo's annual Finds of the Year campaign includes intriguing, informative, fun and educational webites –  as well as the downright weird. The 45 websites are also contenders for the People’s Choice award which allows you to participate and vote for their your resource. The winner of this category will be crowned top dog on the 16th January 2007.

I was one of the judges for the awards, so I could tell you the panel's favourite websites. But if I did, I'd have to kill you...

Pink Floyd eyeballs

Stuck for present ideas for your loved ones this Christmas? We've found the perfect solution - why not buy them a pair of huge eyeballs!

Eyeballs, approx six feet high, are on sale at eBay now. They're not just any gigantic eyeballs, but ones that have been signed by all members of music legends Pink Floyd and are famous for featuring on the front cover of the band’s DVD Pulse and were used as stage props on the recent press screening for the DVD.

All proceeds will go to the national homelessness charity Crisis. David Gilmour, of Pink Floyd, said: "The eBay auction will not only raise much needed funds for the charity but will also raise awareness of the plight of the homeless at a time of year when they are most vulnerable."

You can view the auction by going to music > music memorabilia > artists/groups > Pink Floyd at www.ebay.co.uk/charity.
