Best Website of the Noughties

Winner: Google (www.google.co.uk)
Runner-up: BBC (www.bbc.co.uk)
Google was voted the Best Website of the Noughties, scooping a quarter of votes. In second place was the BBC with 20 per cent while social-networking site Facebook placed third with 13 per cent.
Dan Cobley, director of marketing at Google Europe said: "We're delighted and honoured to be voted Best Website of the Noughties by readers of Web User.
Despite many search innovations and constant experimentation, our mission throughout the decade has never changed: to give users access to relevant information as fast as possible.
This mission won't change and we hope users continue to find Google a useful tool into the next decade and beyond."
