ISPs gather for Top 10 Broadband awards

The Top 10 Broadband awards take place tonight - but who'll be taking home the silverware?

Top 10 Broadband

I'll be attending the Top 10 Broadband awards tonight, along with Web User editor Claire Woffenden and a host of other press and industry insiders.

It's always good to see the cameraderie between the attendees, even though many work for rival companies. They are all desperately competitive though, and I'm sure tonight will be no different.

All the ISPs know that the way to win prizes at these award ceremonies is about providing great service to customers. It isn't about marketing campaigns, special offers or badmouthing the opposition - just being good at providing a service.

I've heard hundreds of stories about bad experiences with ISPs - after all, everyone makes a fuss when they are hard done by, and rightly so - but on a night when we're celebrating everything that is good about the ISP industry, I'd like to hear happy tales about your internet experiences - has an ISP provided great service? Gone above and beyond the call of duty to solve a problem?

If so, you can post your stories here or in the Web User forums.

I'll be here again tomorrow (hopefully without a sore head) to tell you who won what, but in the meantime, here are the nominees.
