Google Mail is a superb email service, packed with innovative tools to make it easier to write, send, receive and manage your emails. Here we reveal 15 tricks to help you get the most out of it.
11 Change your password
To prevent hackers accessing your email, you should change your Google Mail password periodically. Go into Settings, click the Accounts tab, then click 'Google Account Settings'. Click the 'Change password' link and follow the instructions.
12 Forward your email
You can forward copies of incoming mail to another email address automatically. In Settings, click the Forwarding and POP tab, then in the Forwarding section select the 'Forward a copy of incoming mail to' option. Type in the email address you want to forward messages to, choose an action - archive, delete or keep - from the drop-down menu, and click Save Changes.
13 Send from another address
If you want to use Google Mail to send and receive messages from another email address, click the Accounts tab in Settings then click 'Add another email address'. Enter the address you want to use and verify it, then choose which account you want to use as your default 'reply-to' address.
14 Customise web clips
Google Mail provides useful information such as news headlines, email tips and website recommendations along the top of each page. You can customise this content by clicking the Web Clips tabs in Settings, then adding or removing sources from the list of available options.
15 Print an individual message
By default, Google Mail groups messages and their replies to form conversations. This is very useful for keeping track of the email discussion but annoying when you only want to print out an individual message. To do the latter, click on the 'More options' link within the message and then click Print.
