If you’re a BT Broadband customer, you get 5GB of space for free, although the features available are limited. Paying £58.56 a year provides 10 times the space and there’s a tool that backs up your files in the background. This is particularly handy because you can set it and forget it. The web interface is attractive, but the service seems aimed at novices. You can’t synch files and folders across PCs and access is via a web browser only.

The service works well - though initial uploading of files can take days ! Be warned the payment process through ClickandBuy can be fraught - they have recently had some problems collecting payments and are slow to address the issue but quick to close the account !
