TeamViewer is a single-file application, which means you can run it from a memory stick or removable drive.
To connect from a remote PC, by default you will need to enter the ID number and password shown on the host PC’s screen. This could be problematic but you can change the settings to use the remote PC without someone having to tell you the password if you need to. A remote-support mode means you can see the entire Desktop of the host PC, and you can even record the session. File-transfer mode lets you receive or give files, without having to run the full Desktop, while VPN (Virtual Private Network) mode means you can set up your PC to access the host PC’s network resources, such as printers. It’s a great way to give remote support or access your files without having to worry about firewall configuration.
TeamViewer is designed for use with two people, but with a minimal amount of configuration you can easily use it by yourself and even control several PCs. We can hardly believe it’s free!
