RealPlayer 11 Basic

Review Date : Thu, 5 Jun 2008

While RealPlayer is essential if you want to listen to BBC services, it’s unlikely to be your general music player of choice.

While RealPlayer is essential if you want to listen to BBC services, it’s unlikely to be your general music player of choice. Some of its more intrusive aspects – a tendency to muck about with your settings while exercising hard-sell upgrade tactics – have been tamed. However, it has a clunky way of listing your music, forcing you to double-click your way around as if you were exploring folders. The only way to view cover art is by right-clicking on a file and going into its properties – something that seems archaic by today’s standards.
