Online Armor Personal Firewall Free

Review Date : Thu, 28 Aug 2008

The free version of Online Armor Personal Firewall is difficult to distinguish from its commercial sibling in terms of looks.

The free version of Online Armor Personal Firewall is difficult to distinguish from its commercial sibling in terms of looks. The installation process is virtually identical as well. However, although the program is similarly easy to use, differences begin to show during general operation. There’s no protection against keyloggers and you can’t set up firewall exclusions or back up your current settings.

Fewer features are only to be expected in a free version, but they also add up to weaker security. Matousec rated it 89 per cent secure in its tests, which still makes it one of the top performers in the group’s test. But if you want a free firewall, Bronze Award winner Comodo Firewall Pro is a better option.
