Megaupload

Megaupload is a simple, fast, registration-free service for sharing big files.

What we liked:
If you need to send a large file in a hurry, while avoiding the hassle of registration, then simple service Megaupload should be your service of choice. You simply select single files of up to 500MB from your hard disk, enter a description (if you want) and click Send. Sign up with the site for free and you get access to further features such as support for broken uploads and downloads, and you can send files of up to 2GB in size. There's also a Megaupload Browser Toolbar for transfers on the fly.

Every upload gets a unique web address - just email this to the recipient and they can click on the link to download the file immediately.

How it can be improved:
The trade-off for Megaupload's massive upload limit is that download speeds can be rather slow, although registering with the site does improve this problem and paying for premium membership from $9.99 (about £6.20) per month solves it altogether. It's also a shame that you can only send one file at a time.
