Yahoo’s interface is fairly simple to use and it’s easy to add new folders, especially when compared to Hotmail. The service is in the middle of an upgrade, so some features still take you into the older classic-style menus but, other than the look, not much has changed in the current version. You can forward your mail elsewhere if you wish and there are automatic spam controls, but you can also add the addresses of persistent offenders to a blocked list. You are only able to add one extra email address to the account and all mail is delivered to the same Inbox, although you could set up filters to separate them. Unlike all the other services tested here, Yahoo provides unlimited storage. However, unless you receive a lot of images or files, you’re unlikely to need more than even the 5GB provided by GMX.
