This program is jam-packed with features and can deliver 600-per cent-faster transfers by splitting files into multiple fragments and fetching each piece simultaneously. It can even download pieces of the same file from multiple mirrors. The software is able to resume broken transfers, play partially completed media clips and handle BitTorrent files – although this last feature is optional. It can download and convert Flash video from sites like YouTube and it lets you create new downloads remotely and even schedule transfers.

Despite such an impressive wealth of features, it’s actually very easy to use. If you’d rather not install it, just run it in portable mode instead. There’s also a Lite version which is smaller although it lacks certain features, such as BitTorrent support and video conversion.
