From its basic interface to the rudimentary set of features, Fresh Download deliberately keeps things simple. This makes the program both wonderfully easy to use and extremely efficient at downloading, with no unnecessary bells and whistles to slow it down. You can download multiple files at once, using up to eight separate servers for maximum speed and resuming lost connections with a click.

A scheduler lets you download files either once at a specific date and time, or on certain days of the week, and automatically repeat downloads of completed jobs to obtain the latest version of a file. Other notable tools include an internal Zip extractor for opening compressed files, automatic disconnection or shutdown when all jobs are done and the ability to download from password-protected sites, as well as HTTP and FTP proxy servers.
