Clearing internet detritus from your PC is only a small part of what Internet Anonym Pro does, but this multi-functional program performs the task very well. Among other things it deletes cookies, temporary internet files, passwords, History and offline web pages from your browser; empties the Recycle Bin and removes useless files from your hard disk; and clears lists of recently used documents and accessed programs from Windows Explorer.

Different security settings are provided for many commonly used programs so you can, for example, clear your Google Toolbar search terms or downloaded files in Kazaa Lite with a single click. For online protection you can block a variety of intrusive and potentially dangerous web elements, including pop-up windows, ActiveX objects and the referrers that tell webmasters which page you have previously visited. There’s also a shredder that enables you to destroy files and folders definitively and reliably – useful if you’re worried about security information being discovered.

Operating the software is simple using a series of tick boxes, many accompanied by clickable Help links. The only problem arises when you choose to disguise your IP address and surf anonymously as your connection slows down considerably, though this option can be deactivated.
