Norton SystemWorks (Premier Edition)

Symantec has a reputation for producing solid, reliable security and performance software. This suite contains five distinct tools – Norton AntiVirus, Norton Utilities, Norton Cleanup, Norton GoBack, and Norton Save & Restore. The AntiVirus, General Performance and Backup & Recovery components are all accessed though the main SystemWorks screen. Individual components, such as Norton WinDoctor (part of Norton Utilities) can be launched separately from the Start menu.

It takes quite a lot of time to get the program set up and running, with various scans and updates required, but when it’s finished your computer should be noticeably faster and more secure. You can give your system a quick once-over at any time using the one-button check-up or simply run any scans and performance tweaks when needed.

The interface is well designed, but if you’d prefer to have all the features accessible from a simple link-based menu, there’s a classic view available..
