Secunia: Online Software Inspector

Secunia’s application scans your system looking for outdated software and alerts you when something needs updating or is no longer supported. If a newer version or a patch is available, it will link to it where possible so you can download it immediately. It also verifies that important patches from Microsoft are applied.

You can run the default inspection (very quick), or the more thorough version, which can take several minutes to complete.
