F-Secure Online Virus Scanner

This web-based anti-virus scanner lets you run a full or custom sweep of your system. Choose the latter option if you want to target a particular drive or folder.

A full scan takes quite some time, but when it’s finished it will helpfully remove any viruses or other threats that have been found.

Like other similar services, it can only scan files or folders that you have access (administrator) rights for. This means that, while it’s undoubtedly a useful and very thorough service, it shouldn’t be viewed as a replacement for a traditional software-based anti-virus scanner. It’s ActiveX-based as well, so you can only run it using Internet Explorer.
