This non-mechanical rest essentially consists of a rigid plastic tray that rests on a curved cushion. When we tested it, the device did a good job of distributing the weight of a laptop close to the body but we could feel the edge of it pressing on our knees. That said, it’s still considerably comfortable than resting a hot laptop directly on your legs and is still more comfortable than many fan-powered options.
