This solid plastic device uses a fan rather than cushions to keep your computer cool on your lap. Plug the attached cable into a USB port and the fan quietly starts to circulate air, surrounding your lap with a pocket of coolness, like extremely localised air conditioning. The only downside is that the solid plastic construction lacks padding and the curved base, while clearly necessary for the air flow, puts quite a lot of pressure on your lap just above the knee.
