Vodafone promises the fastest service of the lot and, while you’re only likely to see the maximum 7.2Mbps if you’re sat at the foot of a telephone mast, knowing you might get it while out and about possibly justifies the price. Its £15-per-month service (3GB/month for 18 months) looks the best value of its offerings but is still undercut by all the other providers and looks very dear next to 3’s 5GB product. Vodafone’s PAYG service is the most expensive on our list but, if you’re willing to pay the price, the service, modem and software are all top notch.
