Virgin Mobile is unique in the mobile broadband world for only offering one tariff – 3GB per month for £15 on an 18-month contract. This rigid pricing is at least easy for the consumer to understand and places the service somewhere in the middle of the market. However, with no bandwidth variety or different-priced deals available, well-informed consumers will find other companies offering similar services at considerably less cost. It’s a solid, basic service with no frills and no options, but undercutting from some key rivals at Virgin’s only price option leaves it somewhat out of the game.
