This sturdy camcorder offers up to 60fps and has both HDMI and AV output.

The Kodak Zx1 is a more robust than many of its rivals, capable of withstanding harsher weather conditions. We didn’t test its ice-resistant claims but we did try out its video capabilities. Like the other models, it has 2in LCD screen, records in 720p-HD resolution at up to 60 frames per second, and has both HDMI and AV output. Video quality is good, but resolution and sharpness isn’t as exact as with the Ultra or Vado. Audio quality is on par but the interface could be improved.

The Zx1 is very much an internet camcorder – the simple bundled software will let you have your videos on the computer and online in a jiffy. Our biggest gripe with this otherwise commendable camera is the lack of a USB flip, which means you have to carry the cable around with you.
