The budget end of the market belongs to Aria, which supplied us with a great video camera for a smidgeon under £100.
The budget end of the market belongs to Aria, which supplied us with a great video camera for a smidgeon under £100. You’ll have to fork out for your memory card on top – this has just 32MB of internal memory. However, 1GB cards are now available at pocket money prices.
The camera shoots video at a top resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, at 30 frames per second, saved in MPEG4 format. You’re probably only going to want to point and shoot with this, as the digital zoom leaves a lot to be desired and the sound isn’t great. It’s very easy to use though.
