It’s not often you sit down in front of a TV to watch a home video and find it’s better quality than you can expect from your regular broadcasts. However, with this amazing High Definition (HD) camera from Sanyo, that’s exactly what you get. It records video onto its supplied 2GB memory card (which will squeeze about 40 minutes of video onto it) in a format that’s compatible with 720p-type HD televisions, which, although not the highest HD resolution available, is supported by every television set with an HD Ready badge. And the results are stunning, bringing an almost unbelievable level of detail to your home videos.
There is a downside, of course. The £700 price reflects the premium nature of this camera, but shop around and you’ll find it discounted. Despite the high price, we couldn’t help but give it our Gold Award – this is a stunning product that delivers HD video into the hands of the consumer, wrapped up in a pocket-sized – if not exactly wallet-friendly – bundle.
