These computer-friendly speakers from Teufel feature a simple set-up of two speakers and a subwoofer, but the audio quality from this set will blow you away.
Our computers come well equipped for multimedia nowadays, whether it’s watching movies, listening to music or playing games. But despite the quality of our widescreen monitors and increasingly common peripherals, like Blu-ray drives capable of outputting stunning visuals, it’s often our speakers that let the experience down.
This needn’t be the case. These computer-friendly speakers from Teufel feature a simple set-up of two speakers and a subwoofer, but if you’re more accustomed to the sound you get from a pair of tinny PC speakers, the audio quality from this set will blow you away.
If you’ve got a decent soundcard, you can connect the speakers in the usual way, via the line-out port. Or, if your sound hardware needs a boost too, you can connect the subwoofer via USB, which then works like an external sound card and can enhance the audio quality, which is handy for laptops and other devices that may have poor-quality sound hardware built into the motherboard.
The stereo speakers are incredibly powerful for their diminutive size, while the impressive 13kg subwoofer can happily shake a room. It comes with a remote unit that extends the headphone and microphone sockets and also wires up to the subwoofer, so you won’t have to scrabble about on the floor to change the volume and bass settings. Please note, however, that Teufel speakers don’t come with any cables, though you can order them online when you buy your speakers.
