The Squeezebox is a different proposition as it doesn’t have its own speakers, but instead adds internet radio and music streaming to your existing audio set-up.
The Squeezebox is a different proposition as it doesn’t have its own speakers, but instead adds internet radio and music streaming to your existing audio set-up. If you want to listen to digital music stored on your PC you need to install bulky extra software, which adds a web-based media player to your system. However, you can use iTunes if you prefer and the device is generally more compatible with Macs. Finding specific internet radio stations is a bit of a fiddle and there’s no Listen Again option for the BBC stations, but it has a great browsing mechanism, which includes a large number of podcasts, if you’re essentially more interested in channel surfing.
