Zune can only transfer tracks wirelessly between devices, the Archos 605 can access the internet, so you can stream YouTube videos when you're in range of a hotspot. Although you'll need to shell out an extra £19.99 for the Opera browser plug-in to do this.
It comes in a range of capacities, from the 4GB flash memory version to 30GB, 80GB and 160GB hard drive models. The flash version also features an SD card slot for expansion. The 4.3in screen is touch sensitive, making it easy to navigate round the menu system.
It supports MP3, WMA and WAV audio formats along with MPEG4 and WMV video as standard. Further format support is available via optional plug-ins.
The 605 WiFi starts at £149.99 for the 4GB version and will be available in August. See Archos for further details.
