Android fans will soon be able to get their hands on a pay-as-you-go device running Google's mobile operating system.
The T-Mobile Pulse will be available from October and will cost £179.99. The handset is made by Chinese manufacturer Huawei.
To connect to the web, Pulse owners will be able to pay £5 for a month's access or £1 per day.
The Pulse can connect to the web using HSDPA (high-speed downlink packet access) 3G technology and will also hook up to Wi-Fi networks.
It has a 3.2-megapixel digital camera and 3.5-inch touchscreen display, which T-Mobile said is currently the largest screen on an Android handset.
Nicola Shenton of T-Mobile UK said: "We predicted back in June that we expected that one in five T-Mobile mobile internet users will have Android-powered devices by the end of the year and the launch of the T-Mobile Pulse is a major step in making this a reality."
