Google has whipped the mobile world up into a bit of a frenzy just at the thought of its Android open source phone operating system - now T-Mobile and HTC are the first to actually bring it to market in the form of the G1.
Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the G1 is its software - as you'd expect from a Google product it comes equipped with a web browser plus applications for GMail, Google Maps and Google Talk.
Hardware-wise there's slightly less to get excited about - it does feature a full Qwerty keyboard hidden away underneath the touch sensitive display, but everything else is pretty standard - from the 3.2 megapixel camera to the built in Wi-Fi. It also only has a tiny 192MB of memory, but there is a 2GB microSD card included.
The G1 will be available in November, price will depend on contract. For more information, see T-Mobile.
