Cygnett Unison i-X5

While some iPod speaker systems are designed with the portability of the player in mind, Cygnett's Unison i-X5 is more concerned with top notch sound rather than matching the size of its audio source.

The speakers may dwarf the iPod at 177x197x270mm but if you want decent bass then that's the price you have to pay. Each speaker features a 5in woofer for bass and 1in silk dome tweeter for highs and they are magnetically shielded so won't upset TVs or monitors nearby.

There's a built in power amplifier to boost the sound levels without any additional boxes and a remote control is included for changing tracks or tweaking the volume from the comfort of your armchair. The dock will also charge your iPod while it's in place.
