Audio Equipment
If you want to give your laptop audio output a bit of oomph while you're travelling, Ixos' new Oyster speakers could be just what you're looking for.
You can power them via USB, so there aren't any extra power adapters to lug around. Alternatively, if you haven't got a USB port handy, you can also run them from battery instead.
You also don't need to worry about them coming to harm in your bag - they magnetically clip together so they're protected during travelling.
The Oyster speakers are available now for £24.99, see Ixos for more information.
When Apple released its super small update to the iPod shuffle back in March its space saving efforts meant you had to use the supplied headphones.
The new design moves the volume and track buttons onto the headphone cord, so without them you've got no control over the player. With Belkin's Headphone Adapter, however, you can use any headphones you like.
The short cable includes inline controls, so you can plug your favourite earphones in one side and your shuffle in the other.
The Headphone Adapter will be available later in the year, see Belkin for further details.
The Walkman E440 Series may be Sony's latest entry level music and movie player, but that doesn't mean it's lacking style.
It measures a slim 9.3mm thin and is available in black and red. Up front there's a 2in QVGA resolution LCD screen and it'll happily play MP3, WMA and AAC on the audio side and H.264, MPEG4 and WMV video.
The battery will keep going for around 30 hours of music or six hours of movies and it'll take around two hours to charge fully from empty.
The Walkman E Series will be available at the end of July, see Sony for further details.
The Sony Ericsson W205 is all about sharing, whether that's the content stored on the handset or the phone itself.
You can create up to four individual phonebooks that are kept separate, so if you frequently lend your phone to someone you don't have to worry about them cluttering up your own contact list.
You can also easily share images or video you've shot with friends thanks to the built in Bluetooth and it features a Walkman music player to keep you entertained.
The W205 is expected to be available at the end of the month see Sony Ericsson for more information.
Denon's latest earphones promise improved audio quality without breaking the bank.
The in ear design uses an acoustic optimiser to adjust the sound pressure balance in front and behind the diaphragm, which results in increased bass and better sound. The cable is also specially designed to reduce the impact of any vibrations that could travel along it.
Four sizes of ear pads are included so you can get the perfect fit and the removable 0.8m extension cable makes them suitable to use with inline MP3 player remote controls.
The AH-C360 is available now for £44.99, see Denon for further details.
