TVonics DTR-HV250

Freeview is all set to go HD next year, but in the meantime TVonics has announced its HDMI equipped DTR-HV250 recorder.

It'll upscale existing recordings to high definition and it also includes an HDMI switch - useful for connecting up to two other devices to your TV if it only has one HDMI socket.

It also comes equipped with a built in hard drive with enough space to record up to 125 hours of TV, so you'll never miss your favourite programmes again.

Adapt 305 pocket projector

Adapt 305

The Adapt 305 may only measure a pocket-friendly 110 x 60 x 25mm but it can produce images up to 100in.

It packs a high brightness rating of 45 lumens, so you won't have a problem making out the image it creates. You can easily hook it up to a standard laptop or netbook via VGA.

Alternatively, it's got a healthy 4GB of onboard memory so you can load it up with video and image files and take them on the road. There's also an SD card slot, so you can easily add more storage.

Hannspree ST321 1080p TV

Hannspree's latest 32in set packs that all-important 1,080p Full HD resolution so you won't be missing out on pixels.

Despite its sub-£350 price tag, it packs a 1,920 x 1,080 panel making it perfect for watching Blu-ray movies or other high-def material. In addition, it features Hannspree's X-Contrast and X-Celerate technologies to ensure sharp pictures with no motion blur.

Four HDMI ports provide plenty of flexibility when it comes to connections and there's also Freeview built in for tuning into regular terrestrial broadcasts.

BenQ W1000 1080p projector

BenQ's latest 1080p projector is suitable not just for watching movies in the evening - you can use it during the daytime too.

Its extra bright 2,000 Ansi Lumens setting means you can watch video during daylight hours without having to draw the blinds. It supports Full HD 1080p output, so you can watch the highest quality HD up to 300in in size.

There are two HDMI inputs, for extra flexibility, and you can expect the lamp to last a decent 4,000 hours in eco mode.

Netgear Digital Entertainer Live

Getting digital video off your PC and onto your telly isn't an easy task, but Netgear's new Digital Entertainer Live could help.

The device sits on your network and will happily chew through video you've downloaded, as well as live streams from the internet, and chuck them up on your TV at up to 720p HD resolution. You can even tap into on-demand services such as BBC iPlayer.

It supports most common video formats and there's a remote control included so you can browse away without having to leave the sofa.
